Naraku was born from the body of Onigumo, who was a thief and was crazy about Kikyou. On his back is a scar which has the form of a spider. This mark on his back stays every time there, even if he changes his appearance. He has occupied Miroku's grandfather with a curse and destroyed the love between Inuyasha and Kikyou. With the help of the "Shikon No Tama" he can make descendents of himself and  he wants to become a true demon with the "Shikon No Tama".
He is the real enemy of Inuyasha.
