Japanese Voice: Aya Hirano

Misa is known as Misa Misa, a very popular idol in Japan. She has fallen in love with Kira or Light, because he punished the man who killed her parents. She acts really childish sometimes and some people calls her even "air headed". She had also the ability to kill people with the Death Note by only seeing their faces.

alias: Hideki Ryuuzaki, L

Status: private investigator

Japanese Voice: Kappei Yamaguchi

L is a mysterious private detectiv and a genius. Nobody knows his true name and normally he shows nobody his face. However, in the "Kira case" he takes this risk to capture him. Light became his very first friend, but he keeps believing that Light is Kira.

Name: Nate River

alias: Near, N

Status: head of the SPK

Japanese Voice: Noriko Hidaka

After L died Near takes over his position. He tries to capture Kira too and doesn't trust Light in the very end. He is known as Near in the SPK, but he calls himself "N" in front of the Japanese police.

Name: Mihael Keehl

alias: Mello

Status: head of a criminal's group

Japanese Voice: Nozomu Sasaki

Mihael doesn't want Near to have L's position and works with criminals together in order to get Kira first.

Name: Teru Mikami

alias: Kira

Status: attorney

Japanese Voice: Masaya Matsukaze

Mikami is selected as the new Kira by Light himself. Light discovers that it is too dangerous if the Death Note stays with them and so he decides to send it per post to Mikami. Mikami has also a strong sense of justice and sees Light as his God.
