The most famous of all Taichos - the quiet Byakuya is the present head of one of the 4th richest family of the whole Soul Society - the Kuchiki family. To fulfill the last will of hís deceased wife Hisane, he adopts Rukia who is the younger sister of her.
However, to marry a woman and to adopt a person from the lower class is against the law. After the adoption of Rukia he promises his deceased parents that he will never break the rules again whatever happens.

Hitsugaya Toushirou is the youngest of the Taichos and is the owner of the strongest ice-water type Zanpakuto.
He doesn't seem to take jokes and gets aggressive very easily. However, because of his position he tries to remain calm, but sometimes he is cheeky like a little child. He seems to have a good friendship with Hinamori Momo.
