Rei is a boy from the mountains of China and the best Beyblader in his village. He has got his Bidbeast from Lai's grandfather and after he got it, he left the village to learn more about Beyblade. In the tourmanent in Japan he was bored, but after his fight with Takao he has changed his mind. Then it was his wish to become a member of Takaos team.

Kai used to be the leader of the BladeSharks, who were the best team in Takaos and his town. He was the title holder in the tourmanent, but he lost against Takao. However he got the title of the team captain of the Bladebreakers. First he did not wanted to became friends with Takao and the other guys. So he built an "invisible wall" between him and them . However in the end he became friends with his team mates.
